Aquí Hace Viento (It's Windy Up Here)

Mis lentes comienzan a empañarse. Solo lo aprecias cuando se va.

Brrrrr...the freezing cold flies by, I cling onto my jacket and my scarf. It’s okay, just a few minutes until I get there. But get where? Where should I go? I walk faster, but then the wind strikes me harder, With every step I take. As I go up the stairs, the wind gets stronger. I shiver, I face the other way, I break down, but I tell myself, It’s only because the more you ascend, the more you have to withstand It’s a bit windy up here, I say.

The wind embraces me, but if I am embracing the wind, won’t it make me feel warm? Apparently not. But the sensation it gives me, it’s a unique feeling. I feel the coldness in the air, but I feel my own warmth inside of me. My glasses start to fog up. You only appreciate it when it’s gone.
