Entre las naciones del mundo, tenemos ejércitos y barreras, religión y gobiernos ideológicamente opuestos. Estas barreras son difíciles de demoler, pero la única barrera que podemos destruir fácilmente es el lenguaje. Una vez que personas de diversas partes del mundo puedan comunicarse entre sí, se pueden resolver tantos desacuerdos. Y en un mundo donde hay una fricción constante entre los grupos, es especialmente importante facilitar la comunicación.
Esta es verdaderamente la razón por la que hemos revivido Vox Discipulorum, la revista de lengua extranjera de nuestra escuela. La parte más hermosa de nuestra escuela es la diversidad que existe dentro de ella y la coexistencia pacífica que también puede prosperar. Para poder traer estos valores con nosotros cuando nos adentramos en el mundo real, debemos ser capaces de apreciar otros idiomas y culturas y el objetivo de Vox es ayudar a los estudiantes de Bronx Science a lograr ese objetivo.
Between the nations of the world, we have armies and barriers, religion and ideologically opposing governments. These barriers are difficult to demolish, but the one barrier we are able to easily destroy is language. Once people from different parts of the world can communicate with each other, they can begin to resolve their disagreements. And in a world where there is constant friction between groups, it is especially important to facilitate this communication.
This is the true reason we decided to revive Vox Discipulorum, the foreign language literary magazine in our school. The most beautiful part of our school is the diversity that exists within it and the peaceful coexistence that is also able to prosper. To bring these values with us when we go into the real world, we must be able to appreciate other languages and cultures and the objective of Vox is to help the students of Bronx Science accomplish this goal.
